The clinical use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) for a wide variety of application has been reportedly employed most prevalently in problematic wounds, maxillofacial and hemi-facial atrophy, Romberg Syndrome, and diabetic foot ulcers. [] Key Method The authors describe the preparation of PRP and its use in a series of 43 patients who underwent plastic, reconstructive, and maxillofacial surgery for chronic lower extremity ulcers (n = 18) and multiple facial applications (n = 25).
Use of Platelet-Rich Plasma and Hyaluronic Acid in the Loss of Substance with Bone Exposure
TLDR
Evidence of using PRP technology in the healing of both soft- and hard-tissue wounds is confirmed, and the satisfaction of the patient confirms the quality of this study's results.
Use of platelet-rich plasma and modified nanofat grafting in infected ulcers: Technical refinements to improve regenerative and antimicrobial potential
TLDR
The technique for improving the regenerative and antimicrobial potential of a combination of modified nanofat and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in nonhealing infected wounds proved effective in surgically-untreatable infected chronic wounds unresponsive to conventional therapies.
Platelet gel for the treatment of traumatic loss of finger substance.
TLDR
It is believed that platelet gel can be very useful in patients with traumatic or surgical loss of finger tissue, since it can resolve critical situations thus avoiding amputation of residual tissue and compromised joint function.
Platelet-Rich Plasma in Cosmetic Surgery
TLDR
The goal of this review is to describe the current body of literature on PRP as it pertains to the field of esthetics, and to review its current real-world applications.
Micro-Fat Graft Associated with Platelet-Rich-Plasma ( PRP ) for Correction of Depressed Facial Scar
TLDR
The association of PRP and autologous microfat graft are promising and effective therapeutic approach for improvement of depressed facial scars.
A combined use of Chondrocytes Micro Grafts (CMG) Mixed with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) in Patients Affected by Pinch Nose Deformity
TLDR
It is demonstrated that chondrocytes micrografts derived from nasal septum poured onto PRP in solid form are a useful method for cartilage regeneration in patients affected by external nasal valve collapse.
P.R.L. Platelet Rich Lipotransfert: Our Experience and Current State of Art in the Combined Use of Fat and PRP
TLDR
This paper introduces the reader to PRP therapy and reviews the current literature on this emerging treatment modality, showing at the current clinical use of PRP in plastic and reconstructive surgery, with description of innovative methods and future prospects.
The Effect of Platelet-Rich Plasma on Composite Graft Survival
TLDR
The authors’ results suggest that platelet-rich plasma restores the perfusion of composite grafts by enhancing revascularization and may exert therapeutic effects on the survival of Composite grafts.
Breast Reconstruction With Autologous Fat Graft Mixed With Platelet-Rich Plasma
TLDR

Autologous Platelet-Rich Plasma as an Adipocyte In Vivo Delivery System: Case Report
TLDR
The authors hypothesized that autologous platelet-rich plasma (APRP) could be used as an in vivo adipocyte delivery system to favor cell survival and to stimulate early recruitment of microcapillaries to the site of implantation.
Current applications of platelet gels in facial plastic surgery.
TLDR
Platelet gels have global applications in surgery and are especially useful for the soft tissue and bony reconstructions encountered in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and have been associated with a decrease in operative time, necessity for drains and pressure dressings, and incidence of complications.
