Two different recombinant plasmids both containing the cyanophycin synthetase gene (cphA) of Synechocystis sp. strain PCC6308 but differing concerning the resistance marker gene were tested for their suitability to produce high amounts of cyanophycin in recombinant strains of Ralstonia eutropha.
