Considering that ground areas with intense compositional variability appear as mixed pixels in hyperspectral data, we focus on the mixing problem imposed by the various volcanic products found in the vicinity of Mt. Etna’s volcanic craters. Mt. Etna, which is one of the most active volcanoes globally, is a generator of diverse mineralogical environments.
