The Real-time PCR,which is an efficient method of quantitative detection of microorganisms,has abroad application prospects in food industry. This article introduced the principle of Real-time PCR,as well as its application in detection of foodborne pathogens,such as Staphylococcus aureus,Escherichia coli O157∶H7,Salmonella and Vibrio parahaemolyticus.
