The aim of this paper is to analyze  „ possibility puzzle ”  presented by Shapiro (2011) in context of the conventionalism-nonconventionalism debate in speech act theory. Conventionalism claims that for every speech acts there is a pattern (convention) which determined illocutionary force. To perform a speech act felicity is to fulfil l  necessary and sufficient conditions for particular speech act. Nonconventionalism criticise s  a view that for every speech acts there are conventional pattern…
