OBJECTIVE To examine the direct effect of apolipoprotein CIII (apoCIII) on adipokine expressions that are involved in obesity, insulin resistance, or metabolic syndrome. METHODS AND RESULTS ApoCIII in triglyceride-rich lipoproteins is elevated in patients with obesity, insulin resistance, or metabolic syndrome.
