Abstract This paper relates to material obtained during two field trips to the Peloponnese in 2013 and 2016. With the inclusion of some hitherto unpublished ant material, it gives new records from a total of 92 sampling localities. 129 species (including morphospecies not attributed to any known taxon) of ants have been recorded from the Peloponnese (southern Greece), 27 of which have been recorded from this region for the first time. Lasius reginae and 5 other morphospecies attributed only to…

Ants from Thessaly, Greece (Hymenoptera: Formicidae)
Abstract A complete list of 107 ant species (including morphospecies not attributed to any known taxon) recorded from Thessaly, Greece, is presented. New records from 40 sampling localities explored
A new species of the ant genus Lasius Fabricius, 1804 from Crete (Hymenoptera, Formicidae)
Abstract Lasiustapinomoidessp. n. from Crete, Greece, is described and illustrated. It belongs to L.turcicus complex and is well characterized by very small body, extremely shallow metanotal groove
Aphaenogasterillyrica, a new species from the mountains of the Balkan Peninsula (Hymenoptera, Formicidae)
Abstract Aphaenogasterillyricasp. nov., a member of the A.subterranea species group, is described from Dinaric Alps of Slovenia and Croatia, from Golešnica Mt. in north Macedonia, Osogovo-Belasica
Preliminary contributions toward a revision of Greek Messor Forel, 1890 (Hymenoptera: Formicidae)
Based on recently collected material and study on type specimens Messor carpathous Menozzi, 1936 n. stat. and Messor concolor Santschi, 1927 n. stat. are raised to species rank and redescribed.
Preliminary division of not socially parasitic Greek Temnothorax Mayr, 1861 (Hymenoptera, Formicidae) with a description of three new species
The division of Greek members of the genus Temnothorax into 17 morphological groups is proposed and three species new to science are reviewed, including T. aveli and T. turcicus.
Ant genus Strongylognathus (Hymenoptera, Formicidae) in Bulgaria: a preliminary review
The taxonomic position and geographic distribution of all species are discussed and a Key for their identification, based on worker caste, is compiled.
Taxonomic Revision of the Cretan Fauna of the Genus Temnothorax Mayr, 1861 (Hymenoptera: Formicidae), with Notes on the Endemism of Ant Fauna of Crete
This work revise the Cretan species of the ant genus Temnothorax Mayr, 1861, and provides a checklist of ant species described from Crete, including seven new species which are possiblyendemic to Crete.
Review of the Aphaenogaster splendida Species-Group (Hymenoptera: Formicidae)
12 species of the Aphaenogaster splendida group are recognized, of which three are new: A. hamaensis sp.
Three endemic Aphaenogaster from the Siculo-Maltese archipelago and the Italian Peninsula: part of a hitherto unrecognized species group from the Maghreb? (Hymenoptera: Formicidae: Myrmicinae)
The morphological elements available suggest that A. fiorii and A. sicula probably belong to a separate, hitherto unrecognized clade from the Maghreb (North-Western Africa), together with A. trinacriae sp.

Redescription of Camponotus nitidescens Forel, 1889, new status and notes on ants from Kefalonia, Greece (Hymenoptera: Formicidae)
Camponotus kiesenwetteri r. nitidescens Forel, 1889 described from Kefalonia island is removed from synonyms of C. piceus (leach, 1825) and raised to the rank of species. List of 54 ant species
A new species of the Aphaenogaster cecconii group (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) from Rhodes.
Aphaenogaster charesi, a new species in the A. cecconii group, is described from two localities on the island of Rhodes and a modified key to include this new species is updated.
Review of Mediterranean members of the Aphaenogaster cecconii group (Hymenoptera: Formicidae), with description of four new species.
A group of six Mediterranean species related to Aphaenogaster cecconii Emery is reviewed. Four new species are described: A. equestris (SW Turkey), A. jolantae (Greece, Rhodes), A. lykiaensis (SW
Redescription of Tetramorium hungaricum RÖSZLER, 1935, a related species of T. caespitum (LINNAEUS, 1758) (Hymenoptera: Formicidae)
It is shown that this species can be reliably separated from three related morphospecies, i.e., T. caespitum, ferox RUZSKY, 1903, T. semilaeve ANDRE, 1881, using morphological characters.
Epimyrma adlerzi sp. n. (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) from Greece: morphology and life history
An independent evolution of workerlessness in E. adlerzi and E. corsica is suggested, both of which are workerless parasites on Leptothorax exilis, and have a female biased sex ratio and intranidal mating.
Species of Tetramorium semilaeve Complex from Balkans and Western Turkey, with Description of Two New Species of (Hymenoptera: Formicidae: Myrmicinae)
Two new species of this complex with all castes are described: Tetramorium kephalosi (Greece and Croatia) and Tetamorium bellerophoni (Turkey).
Survey of the ants (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) of the Greek Thrace
A check-list of all ant species recorded so far in Greek Thrace with comments on the taxonomy and distribution of poorly known or unnamed species is presented.
Redescription of Temnothorax antigoni (Forel, 1911) and description of its new social parasite Temnothorax curtisetosus sp. n. from Turkey (Hymenoptera, Formicidae)
The gyne of this species is described for the first time and a key to the worker caste of the eastern Mediterranean species belonging to both Temnothorax recedens and Temnothsorax muellerianus groups are provided.
What is Tetramorium semilaeve André, 1883? (Hymenoptera, Formicidae)
