  • An isolate of tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV) was obtained from naturally infected tomato plants grown in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate xhibiting a wide range of foliar disease symptoms including curling, stunting, bronzing and/or purpling, chlorosis and necrotic spot on the leaves. Dark brown streak also appear on leaf petioles and growing tips. The virus was biologically purified from single local lesion formed on Chenopodium amaranticolor Coste & Reyn.
