(Diphenylphosphinodithioato) diphenylantimony (III), Ph2SbS2PPh2 (1) and (diisopropylphosphorodithioato) diphenylantimony(III), Ph2SbS2P(OPri)2 (2) were tested in vivo in male AKR mice and in vitro against Ehrlich ascites tumor cells. Both compounds exhibited dose-dependent inhibitory effects on in vivo tumor growth and on in vitro cell proliferation, cell viability, respiration and protein synthesis. The activities of some enzymes involved in energetic metabolism (Ca-ATPase, LDH, G6Pase) were…

Synthesis and Biological Activity on Some Organoantimony (III) Compounds

Organoantimony (III) amides of the type Ar2SbL exhibited significant in-vitro antitumor activity against human breast adenocarcinoma cell line, mammary cancer cell line (EVSA-7), and antibacterial activity againsthuman pathogenic bacteria viz.

Perspectives of antimony compounds in oncology

It might be feasible to develop more specific and effective inhibitors for phosphatase-targeted, anticancer therapeutics through the screening of sodium stibogluconate and potassium antimonyltartrate-related compounds, which are comprised of antimony conjugated to different organic moieties.

Non-Platinum Antitumor Compounds

Non-platinum antitumor compounds have gained increasing interest during the last decade. A variety of antitumor active agents, from early transition to main-group metal or metalloid compounds, has

Synthesis, crystal structure, and bioactivity of two triphenylantimony derivatives with benzohydroxamic acid and N-phenylbenzohydroxamic acid

Reaction of triphenylantimony dichloride with benzohydroxamic acid or N-phenylbenzohydroxamic acid in 1 : 1 stoichiometry yielded two new triphenylantimony derivatives formulated as [Ph3SbL1L2] (L1 =
