We recently reported prospective results from a cohort of patients scheduled for elective cardiac surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) in which most baseline clinical parameters of patients and surgery outcomes failed to demonstrate relationships with post-CPB antithrombin (AT) activity.
