Recent interest in the use of tamoxifen to only not treat [1] but also to prevent [2] breast cancer makes it important to assess other possible therapeutic benefits or indeed side-effects. One such benefit may be the ability of tamoxifen and its metabolite 4-hydroxytamoxifen to inhibit lipid peroxidation [3].
