The methanol extract of leaves of Urena lobata (L) (Malvaceae) has been selected to determine the antioxidant and cytotoxic potentials. The crude extract were tested for in vitro free radical scavenging assays such as 1, 1 diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl (DPPH). Total phenolic and flavonoids content of U. lobata were analyzed.
