The antinociceptive properties of the hydro-methanolic extract (HME) and two flavonoids isolated fromDanae racemosa have been investigated in several nociceptive rat models. The HME fromD. racemosa (100-400 mgkg-1, i.p.) produced significant dose-related inhibition of acetic acid-induced abdominal constriction. In the same dose range, the HME produced dose-related inhibition in both phases of a formalin-test. Treatment of animals with naloxone (5 mgkg-1, i.p.) completely reversed the…
Antinociceptive and Antiinflammatory Activities of Anastatica hierochuntica and Possible Mechanism of Action
TLDR
It is demonstrated that A. hierochuntica has potential central and peripheral antinociceptive effects as well as antiinflammatory activity in albino mice and Wistar rats.
Antinociceptive activity of aqueous fruit extract of Dillenia retusa T . in rats
TLDR
AFE of D. retusa exhibits moderately strong oral analgesic activity supporting its use as a pain reliever in traditional medicine and suggests that AFE mediates its antinociceptive activity centrally at supraspinal level and peripherally and is effective against both neurogenic and inflammatory pain.
Antinociceptive activity of aqueous fruit extract of Dillenia retusa T. in rats
TLDR
AFE of D. retusa exhibits moderately strong oral analgesic activity supporting its use as a pain reliever in traditional medicine and suggests that AFE mediates its antinociceptive activity centrally at supraspinal level and peripherally and is effective against both neurogenic and inflammatory pain.
Indole alkaloids and anti-nociceptive mechanisms of Tabernaemontana divaricata (L.) R. Br. flower methanolic extract.
Antinociceptive effects of hydroalcoholic extract from Euterpe oleracea Mart. (Açaí) in a rodent model of acute and neuropathic pain
TLDR
ASE showed significant antinociceptive effect via a multifactorial mechanism of action, indicating that the extract may be useful in the development of new analgesic drugs.
Naloxone blocks the beneficial effects of aqueous extract of Murraya koenigii (L.) Spreng leaves in models of pain.
TLDR
In all three pain models AEMK showed antinociceptive effect, which was blocked by naloxone suggesting the involvement of opioidergic central mechanism.
Antinociceptive and anti-inflammatory effects of Costus spicatus in experimental animals
TLDR
MECs has antinociceptive and anti-inflammatory activities in rodents and exhibited an anti- inflammatory effect during the carrageenan test, which was based on interference with inflammatory mediator synthesis.
Antinociceptive compounds and LC-DAD-ESIMSn profile from Dictyoloma vandellianum leaves
TLDR
The pharmacological study showed that D. vandellianum leaves present antinociceptive activity, probably induced by gallic acid, methyl gallate and 1,2,6-tri-O-galloyl-β-d-glucopyranose.
Antinociceptive activity of Tibouchina pereirae, an endemic plant from the Brazilian semiarid region
TLDR
The involvement of AETP only in peripheral antinociceptive mechanisms is indicated, as it caused a significant reduction of writhing produced by acetic acid in the formalin test.

Potent Antinociceptive Activity of a Hydroalcoholic Extract of Phyllanthus corcovadensis
TLDR
It is concluded that HE exhibits a potent antinociceptive profile, either when given intraperitoneally or orally, and appears to be unrelated to inhibition of synthesis of arachidonic acid via cyclo‐oxygenase or to activation of opioid receptors.
Antinociceptive action of 2-(4-bromobenzoyl)-3-methyl-4,6-dimethoxy benzofuran, a novel xanthoxyline derivative on chemical and thermal models of nociception in mice.
TLDR
Its antinociceptive effect was insensitive to naloxone, suggesting the lack of involvement of endogenous opioid, was not modulated by adrenal glands and does not involve interaction with the L-arginine-nitric oxide pathway, activation of alpha-1 adrenoceptors or tau-aminobutyric acidB receptors, but requires, at least in part, the serotoninergic pathway.
Antinociceptive actions of spinal nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agents on the formalin test in the rat.
TLDR
These studies indicate that NSAID have a powerful effect upon spinal nociceptive processing evoked by the s.c.p.t. injection of formalin.
Reduced production of hyperalgesic substances by mononuclear cells from aged rats incubated with carrageenan: role of interleukin 2 and prostaglandins
TLDR
Hyperalgesia induced by test supernatants was significantly less intense when derived from aged animals, and IL 2 may have accounted for such hyperAlgesia development.
Antinociceptive Effect of the Hydroalcoholic Extract of Bauhinia splendens Stems in Mice
The analgesic effect of the hydroalcoholic extract of the stems of Bauhinia splendens (Leguminosae) has been investigated in chemical and thermal models of nociception in mice.
