Mikania laevigata Schultz Bip. ex Baker, M. involucrata Hook. et Arn. and M. hirsutissima DC. (Asteraceae), commonly occurring in the southern Brazilian State of Rio Grande do Sul, were submitted to biological tests to evaluate their potential antiinflammatory activity.
