The crude powder, ethanolic extract and aqueous, chloroform, hexane and n-butanol soluble fractions of ethanolic extract of heart wood of P. marsupium showed marked improvement on oral glucose tolerance post sucrose load in normal rats. All these fractions except aqueous fraction showed improvement on oral glucose tolerance post sucrose load on streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic rats. The crude powder, ethanolic extract and hexane and n-butanol fractions showed marked decline in blood…

Antidiabetic Effects of Aqueous and Dichloromethane/Methanol Stem Bark Extracts of Pterocarpus soyauxii Taub (Papilionaceae) on Streptozotocin-induced Diabetic Rats
TLDR
Prolonged treatments in diabetic rats with aqueous and CH2Cl2/CH3OH extracts reduced blood glucose to an extent, respectively, superior or similar to GB, which has possible value for antidiabetic oral medication.
ANTIDIABETIC AND ANTIDYSLIPIDEMIC ACTIVITY OF ETHYL ACETATE FRACTIONS OF XYLOCARPUS GRANATUM AND XYLOCARPUS MOLLUCCENSIS ON HIGH FRUCTOSE HIGH FAT AND HIGH SUCROSE HIGH FAT FED-LOW DOSED STREPTOZOTOCIN TREATED DIABETIC RATS
TLDR
Standardized fractions of X. granatum and X. molluccensis have favorable effect in bringing down the severity of hyperglycemia, hyperlipidemia, decline the increased level of renal and hepatic function markers and also improving glucose tolerance activity.
Antidiabetic effect of Pterocarpus marsupium seed extract in gabapentin induced diabetic rats
TLDR
The present study shows that the ethanolic seed extract of Pterocarpus marsupium has potential antidiabetic action in gabapentin induced diabetic rats and the effect was found to be more similar to the standard drug metformin.
Effects of aqueous and ethanolic leaf extracts of Pterocarpus mildbraedii on renal and heart functions of albino rats
TLDR
The results suggest non-toxic effects of leaf extracts of P. mildbraedii on the kidney and heart in rats can be considered safe for use as leafy vegetable, pharmaceutical and or neutraceutical formulations.
ANTIDIABETIC ACTIVITY OF CLERODENDRUM PHLOMIDIS Linn. AND GYMNEMA SYLVESTRE Linn. IN ALLOXAN INDUCED DIABETIC RATS - A COMPARATIVE PRECLINICAL STUDY
TLDR
Profound alteration was observed in lipid profiles (total cholesterol, triglycerides, free fatty acids and phospholipids).
In vitro & in silico study of hypoglycemic potential of Pterocarpus marsupium heartwood extract
TLDR
Molecular docking study showed hydrogen bonding between Liquiritigenin and catalytic triad (Asp197, Glu233, and Asp300) of α-amylase and His407 of α –Glucosidase with −5.60 and −7.10 binding energies respectively.
Antidiabetic activity of a triterpenoid saponin isolated from Momordica cymbalaria Fenzl.
TLDR
The results suggest that the saponin of M. cymbalaria possesses potential antidiabetic activity with respect to insulin secretion, which may be attributed to modulation of calcium channel, and beta-cell rejuvenation.
Phytochemical screening and study of antioxidant, antimicrobial, antidiabetic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities of extracts from stem wood of Pterocarpus marsupium Roxburgh
TLDR
The results of the study revealed that P. marsupium is a source of various phytoconstituents such as alkaloids, glycosides, saponins, tannins, proteins, carbohydrates, cardiac glycoside, flavonoids, and terpenoids and exhibited a dose-dependent antioxidant activity.
Nanoparticles of Antroquinonol-Rich Extract from Solid-State-Cultured Antrodia cinnamomea Improve Reproductive Function in Diabetic Male Rats
TLDR
The nano-SAC can improve diabetes-induced reproductive dysfunction by regulating glucose, insulin, and oxidative enzyme and by increasing the level of testosterone, follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, and sperm count as well as sperm mobility.
ANTIDIABETIC EFFICACY OF MOLLUGO OPPOSITIFOLIA LINN. EXTRACT- AN ANIMAL MODEL STUDY.
TLDR
Evaluated the antidiabetic potential of Mollugo oppositifolia extract on alloxan induced diabetic rats and compare their efficacy with the standard drug, Glibenclamide to show significant alterations in biochemical parameters.
