Seventeen flavonoids isolated from the extracts of the stem of Entada phaseoloides were investigated for their anticomplement (both classic and alternative pathways) and antimicrobial activities against Gram-positive bacteria (MRSA, MSSA, Standard Enterococcus and Bacillus subtilis), Gram-negative bacteria (Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeuroginosa) and the yeast-like pathogenic fungus Candida albicans.
