Antibody responses to the myelin/oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) and myelin basic protein (MBP) were determined in the sera of Hartley guinea pigs with chronic relapsing experimental allergic encephalomyelitis (CREAE) using an enzyme-linked immunoassay. The sera were also tested for in vivo demyelinating activity by infusion into the subarachnoid space of normal rats.
