The sera of patients with Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome (LEMS) contain autoantibodies against several extracellular and intracellular components of the voltage-gated calcium channel (VGCC)/synaptic vesicle release complex. An example of the latter are anti-beta-subunit antibodies (anti-MysB antibodies).
