The aim of this study was to investigate the antinociceptive and anti-inflammatory activities of epiisopiloturine (1), an imidazole alkaloid found in the leaves of Pilocarpus microphyllus. The anti-inflammatory activity of 1 was evaluated using several agents that induce paw edema and peritonitis in Swiss mice. Paw tissue and peritoneal fluid samples were obtained to determine myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity or tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α and interleukin (IL)-1β levels. The antinociceptive…
Evaluation of the anti-inflammatory and antinociceptive effects of myrtenol, a plant-derived monoterpene alcohol, in mice
TLDR
Myrtenol reduces the inflammatory response and nociception in mice due to the inhibition of the release of inflammatory mediators, cell migration and also to the signalling pathway of receptors involved in the transmission of pain.
Synthesis, toxicity study and anti-inflammatory effect of MHTP, a new tetrahydroisoquinoline alkaloid
TLDR
The results obtained allow us to conclude that the inedited synthetic alkaloid, MHTP has anti-inflammatory effect by inhibiting PGE2 function as well as inhibiting inflammatory cell migration to the inflamed site and attenuated the acute lung injury disease by inhibitors the migration of neutrophil to the lung.
Anti-Inflammatory, Analgesic and Antioxidant Activities of Allophylus Cobbe Leaves
Allophylus cobbe L. Raeuschel (Family-Sapindaceae) is a medicinal plant used traditionally for the treatment of various health risks like pain, inflammation, ulcers and wounds in Bangladesh. This
Gabapentin, a Synthetic Analogue of Gamma Aminobutyric Acid, Reverses Systemic Acute Inflammation and Oxidative Stress in Mice
TLDR
It is demonstrated that gabapentin exhibited anti-inflammatory activity in mice by reducing the action of inflammatory mediators, neutrophil migration and proinflammatory cytokine levels, and anti-oxidant properties by decreasing the concentration of MDA and increasing the GSH content.

Antinociceptive effect of the monoterpene R-(+)-limonene in mice.
TLDR
It may be suggested that the R-(+)-limonene presented antinociceptive activity and that, probably, this action can be related with peripheral analgesia, but, not with the stimulation of opioids receptors.
