Diabetes mellitus (DM) has a profound adverse effect on quality of life in terms of social, psychological well-being as well as physical health. Diabetic complications are mainly mediated through oxidative stress such as increased production of Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) or impaired antioxidant defence system.
