The Elfringia applanata (EA), Hericium erinaceum (HE), Grifola frondosa (GF), Pholiota nameko (PN), Pleurotus eiyngii (PE), Trameles suaveolens (TS), Fomes fomentarais (FF), and Inonotus obliquus (IO) could produce the endo(EN) and exo-biopolymer (EX) in submerged culture. The highest anti-complementary activity of the EN was exhibited by PN (49.1%), followed by HE (38.6%), TS (37.0%), and FF (33.0%), whereas the high activity of the EX was found with GF (59.8%), followed by HE (363%), TS (30.8…

Immunomodulating Activity of the Exopolymer from Submerged Mycelial Culture of Phellinus pini
- Biology
- 2004
The immunomodulating activities and chemical characteristics of a water-soluble exopolymer from submerged mycelial culture of Phellinus pini were studied and its activation system occurred through both classical and alternative pathways, where the classical pathway was detected to be the major one by crossed immunoelectrophoresis.
The Anti-complementary Activity of Exo-polymers Produced from Submerged Mycelial Cultures of Higher Fungi with Particular Reference to Cordyceps militaris
- Biology
- 1998
The anti-complementary activity (immunostimulating activity) was tested for the exo-polymers produced from submerged mycelial cultures of 21 types of higher fungi and Cordyceps militaris showed the highest (69.0%) followed by Pleurotus ostreatus (63.7%) and Trametes suaveolens (61.4%).
