Des extraits acellulaires de cultures de tissus de Choisya ternata et Ruta graveolens accumulatrices de composes dihydrofuro- et dihydropyranoquinoleinium catalysent la N-methylation de l'acide anthranilique et l'activation, ATP-dependante, de l'acide N-methyl anthranilique. Ces deux activites enzymatiques sont apparemment impliquees dans les premieres etapes de la biosynthese des alcaloides quinoleiques chez les Rutacees
