Many of the conventional methods of explaining the simple rule for time scaling are fraught with semantic difficulties. The present method of explanation seems to avoid many of these difficulties and to yield a straight forward, simple explanation. The rule for time-scaling the computer is to modify the gain of all integrators by the desired time scale factor, n. The difficulty lies in trying to substantiate this statement.
