Abstract : Anopheles (Nyssorhynchus) konderi Galvfio and Damasceno 1942 is redescribed with illustrations of the male and female genitalia and the larval and pupal stages. A neotype for An. konderi is designated, and it is resurrected from synonymy with An. (Nys.) oswaldoi (Peryassu 1922).

Identification of Anopheles nuneztovari Gabaldón and An. goeldii Rozeboom and Gabaldón based on the male genitalia traits is discussed. An. goeldii is in the synonymy of An. nuneztovari, however,Expand
Intraespecific variation on the aedeagus of Anopheles oswaldoi (Peryassú) (Diptera: Culicidae).
TLDR
Intraspecific variation of the shape of the apex of the aedeagus of the male genitalia of specimens of Anopheles (Nyssorhynchus) oswaldoi s.s. from Vale do Ribeira, Mata Atlântica, Brazil, was observed. Expand

List of anopheline species with published illustrations and/or descriptions of eggs (Diptera: Culicidae: Anophelinae)
Species of the mosquito subfamily Anophelinae with published illustrations and/or morphological descriptions of the egg stage are listed with their literature citations. Species of the subfamily haveExpand
Morphological and molecular analyses demonstrate identification problems of Anopheles nuneztovari (Diptera: Culicidae) using dichotomous keys
TLDR
The results suggest that in the case of problematic species, it is convenient to confirm identification using molecular methods developed with the support of the identification of immature stages using the PCR-RFLP technique based on ITS2 sequences. Expand
Species of subfamily Anophelinae (Diptera: Culicidae) with published illustrations and/or descriptions of female genitalia
Examples are provided for species of the mosquito subfamily Anophelinae with published illustrations and/or descriptions of the female genitalia and include corresponding literature citations.

TLDR
The internal classification of genus Anopheles is updated to reflect taxonomic actions published since the classification was last reviewed in 1994, which includes additional species, eliminated species and changes to the hierarchical organization and composition of supraspecific groups. Expand
Brazilian mosquito (Diptera: Culicidae) fauna: I. Anopheles species from Porto Velho, Rondônia state, western Amazon, Brazil.
TLDR
The purpose of this study was to diagnose the occurrence of anopheline species from collections in three locations along an electric-power transmission line to discuss Culicidae systematics, fauna distribution, and aspects of malaria in altered habitats of the western Amazon. Expand
