We study the anomalous dynamical scaling of equilibrium correlations in one-dimensional systems. Two different models are compared: the Fermi-Pasta-Ulam chain with cubic and quartic nonlinearity and a gas of point particles interacting stochastically through multiparticle collision dynamics. For both models-that admit three conservation laws-by means of detailed numerical simulations we verify the predictions of nonlinear fluctuating hydrodynamics for the structure factors of density and energy…

Collisional Relaxation and Dynamical Scaling in Multiparticle Collisions Dynamics
We present the Multi-Particle-Collision (MPC) dynamics approach to simulate properties of low-dimensional systems. In particular, we illustrate the method for a simple model: a one-dimensional gas of
Equilibrium time-correlation functions of the long-range interacting Fermi–Pasta–Ulam model
We present a numerical study of dynamical correlations (structure factors) of the long-range generalization of the Fermi-Pasta-Ulam oscillator chain, where the strength of the interaction between two
Dynamical origin of non-thermal states in galactic filaments
Observations strongly suggest that filaments in galactic molecular clouds are in a non-thermal state. As a simple model of a filament we study a two-dimensional system of self-gravitating point
Transport in perturbed classical integrable systems: The pinned Toda chain
Abstract Nonequilibrium and thermal transport properties of the Toda chain, a prototype of classically integrable system, subject to additional (nonintegrable) terms are considered. In particular, we
Fluid and kinetic modelling for non-local heat transport in magnetic fusion devices
In order to improve the presently used ad hoc flux limiter treatment of parallel heat flux transport in edge plasma fluid codes, here, we consider a generalized version of the Fourier law
Anomalous Heat Transport in Classical Many-Body Systems: Overview and Perspectives
In this review paper we survey recent achievements in anomalous heat diffusion, while highlighting open problems and research perspectives. First, we briefly recall the main features of the
Key role of asymmetric interactions in low-dimensional heat transport
We study the heat current autocorrelation function (HCAF) in one-dimensional, momentum-conserving lattices. In particular, we explore if there is any relation between the decaying characteristics of
Introducing a new multi-particle collision method for the evolution of dense stellar systems
Context. In a previous paper we introduced a new method for simulating collisional gravitational N-body systems with linear time scaling on N, based on the Multi-Particle Collision (MPC) approach.
Kinetic and hydrodynamic regimes in multi-particle-collision dynamics of a one-dimensional fluid with thermal walls
The Authors consider nonequilibrium steady states of a one-dimensional fluid of particles interacting by multi-particle collisions and in contact with two thermal-wall reservoirs, and observe a
Nonequilibrium Phenomena in Nonlinear Lattices: From Slow Relaxation to Anomalous Transport
This chapter contains an overview of the effects of nonlinear interactions in selected problems of non-equilibrium statistical mechanics. Most of the emphasis is put on open setups, where energy is
