The momentum flux in merging binary black holes is rediscussed using the actual orbit integrations. The terminal velocity acquired by the centre of mass of the system is found to be greater than the estimate of Fitchett (1983) by a factor of 1.45. The actual value in km s−1 is still uncertain but may be as high as 2000 km s−1. The centre of mass velocity kick at a black hole merger is incorporated in the orbit integration of few black hole systems. Assuming that the symmetric break-up mode of…
Relativistic three-body effects in black hole coalescence
Three-body interactions are expected to be common in globular clusters and in galactic cores hosting supermassive black holes. We consider an equal-mass binary black hole system in the presence of a
Possible Electromagnetic Manifestations of Merging Black Holes
The scenario of a merger of two black holes surrounded by an accretion disk is considered. As a result of the emission of gravitational waves, the mass of the central object decreases, and the
Electromagnetic emission from circumbinary disk of merging black holes.
TLDR
Supporting the registration of gravitational-wave events by observations in the electromagnetic channel has far-reaching prospects, since it corresponds to the multi-messenger approach to the study of astrophysical objects.
Shock propagation in accretion discs around merging black holes: self-similar solution
To date, the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO) and the Virgo gravitational wave detectors have registered several events due to merging binary black holes. It is considered
Ejections of population III objects seen as blueshifted QSOs?
We discuss the origin of the optical jets and the apparently associated cloud of QSOs in NGC 1097. There is a simple explanation for the jets in terms of ejection trails of supermassive black holes.
A Gravitational Double-scattering Mechanism for Generating High-velocity Objects during Halo Mergers
We present a dynamical model that describes how halo particles can receive a significant energy kick from the merger between their own host halo and a target halo. This could provide a possible

Gravitational-Radiation Recoil and Runaway Black Holes
In the nonspherical gavitational collapse of a stellar core to a black hole, linear momentum will in general be radiated with gravitational waves. As a result the black hole will recoil. Here we make
Collision of two black holes.
TLDR
The wave forms and energy output are computed, showing that normal modes of the final black hole are clearly excited, and the total gravitational radiation emitted is estimated analytically, considering tidal heating of horizons and other erects.
The slingshot ejections in merging galaxies
The evolution of black hole systems in multiple mergers of galaxies has been investigated, using a particular galaxy merger process with a continuous distribution of the black hole masses. Two types
N-body evolution of dense clusters of compact stars
The dynamical evolution of dense clusters of compact stars is studied using direct N-body simulations. The formation of binaries and their subsequent merging by gravitational radiation emission is
Theory of extragalactic radio sources
Powerful extragalactic radio sources comprise two extended regions containing magnetic field and synchrotron-emitting relativistic electrons, each linked by a jet to a central compact radio source
Linear momentum and gravitational waves: circular orbits around a Schwarzschild black hole
On utilise la theorie des perturbations pour calculer le flux du moment lineaire dans les ondes gravitationnelles emises par une particule d'epreuve se deplacant sur une geodesique circulaire dans la
