Anisotropic Laplace-Beltrami eigenmaps: Bridging Reeb graphs and skeletons

In this paper we propose a novel approach of computing skeletons of robust topology for simply connected surfaces with boundary by constructing Reeb graphs from the eigen-functions of an anisotropic Laplace-Beltrami operator.
