OBJECTIVE Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) is a multifactorial inflammatory disease. In particular, CRS with eosinophilic features and/or nasal polyps (NPs) is often recalcitrant to current treatment; thus, appropriate animal models are mandatory to elucidate the pathogenesis of CRS and develop novel and efficient treatment modalities.
