Planar microwave angular displacement and angular velocity sensors implemented in microstrip technology are proposed. The transducer element is a circularly shaped divider/combiner, whereas the sensing element is an electric-LC resonator, attached to the rotating object and magnetically coupled to the circular (active) region of the transducer.
