As a circulating hormone, endocrine properties of angiotensin (Ang) II are integral to circulatory homeostasis. Produced de novo its autocrine/paracrine properties contribute to biologic responses involving various connective tissues (e.g. extracellular matrix, adipose tissue, bone and its marrow).
