  • Leiomyomas are benign soft tissue neoplasms that arise from smooth muscle. There are three distinct types of leiomyomas: piloleiomyomas, angioleiomyomas, and genital leiomyomas, which reflect the most origin of the smooth muscle tumor and correspond to the histologic or anatomic site. Angioleiomyomas, as we present here, originate from smooth muscle within the walls of arteries and veins.
