Sixteen aneurysms of the diverticulum of the ductus arteriosus in adults have been previously reported. Ten patients died of rupture of the aneurysm or died at surgical exploration. Only one previous patient underwent successful aneurysmectomy. Five new cases of aneurysm of the adult ductal diverticulum, all diagnosed preoperatively and successfully repaired, are presented.
