The word Yoga comes from the Sanskrit word Yuj meaning to yoke, join or unite. It implies joining or integrating all aspects of the individual body with mind, and mind with soul to achieve a balanced and healthy life. Yoga is performed through some specific postures called Asana. Among the eight limbs of Yoga, the yogic technique properly begins at the third limb that is the Asana.
