Abstract We consider dark matter (DM) that interacts with ordinary matter exclusively through an electromagnetic anapole, which is the only allowed electromagnetic form factor for Majorana fermions. We show that unlike DM particles with an electric or magnetic dipole moment, anapole dark matter particles annihilate exclusively into fermions via purely p-wave interactions, while tree-level annihilations into photons are forbidden. We calculate the anapole moment needed to produce a thermal relic… Expand

Dark matter electromagnetic dipoles: the WIMP expectation
We perform a systematic study of the electric and magnetic dipole moments of dark matter (DM) that are induced at the one-loop level when DM experiences fourfermion interactions with Standard ModelExpand
Direct Detection of Fermion Dark Matter in the Radiative Seesaw Model
We consider the scenario in the radiative seesaw model where the dark matter particle is the lightest $Z_2$-odd fermion. We identify the regions of the parameter space of the model compatible withExpand
Anapole dark matter interactions as soft hidden photons
Abstract We propose a model where the anapole appears as a hidden photon that is coupled to visible matter through a kinetic mixing. For low momentum | p | ≪ M where M is the cutoff the model (softExpand
Lepton Portal dark matter

A lower bound on the mass of cold thermal dark matter from Planck
We show that the new measurement of the effective number of neutrinos (Neff) by the Planck satellite can be used to set a robust lower bound on the mass of cold thermal dark matter of (MeV). OurExpand
Dark sector-photon interactions in proton-beam experiments
