Analytical representations are derived for two equations of state (EOSs) of neutron-star matter: FPS and SLy. Each of these EOSs is unified, that is, it describes the crust and the core of a neutron star using the same physical model. Two versions of the EOS parametrization are considered. In the first one, pressure and mass density are given as functions of the baryon density. In the second version, pressure, mass density, and baryon density are given as functions of the pseudo-enthalpy, which…

Role of the crust in the tidal deformability of a neutron star within a unified treatment of dense matter
The role of the crust on the tidal deformability of a cold nonaccreted neutron star is studied using the recent unified equation of state BSk24. This equation of state, which is based on the
Constraints on the equation of state of neutron star matter based on observations
Many calculations of the neutron star (NS) equation of state (EOS) have been performed over the years. Recent observations of NSs have begun to play an important role in finding the realistic EOS. In
Equation of state and radial oscillations of neutron stars
We investigate radial oscillations of pure neutron stars and hybrid stars, employing equations of state of nuclear matter from Brueckner-Hartree-Fock theory, and of quark matter from the
Role of the symmetry energy and the neutron-matter stiffness on the tidal deformability of a neutron star with unified equations of state
The role of the symmetry energy and the neutron-matter stiffness on the tidal deformability of a cold nonaccreted neutron star is studied using a set of unified equations of state. Based on the
From the crust to the core of neutron stars on a microscopic basis
Within a microscopic approach the structure of Neutron Stars is usually studied by modelling the homogeneous nuclear matter of the core by a suitable Equation of State, based on a many-body theory,
Two-fluid models of superfluid neutron star cores
Both relativistic and non-relativistic two-fluid models of neutron star cores are constructed, using the constrained variational formalism developed by Brandon Carter and co-workers. We consider a
Analytic description of neutron star cooling
We have derived analytic expressions that describe cooling of isolated neutron stars with nucleon cores after reaching the state of internal thermal relaxation. The results are valid for a wide class
Unified equation of state for neutron stars on a microscopic basis
We derive a new equation of state (EoS) for neutron stars (NS) from the outer crust to the core based on modern microscopic Brueckner-Hartree-Fock (BHF) calculations using the Argonne $v_{18}$

EQUATION OF STATE OF DENSE MATTER AND MAXIMUM MASS OF NEUTRON STARS
Theoretical models of the equation of state (EOS) of neutronstar matter (starting with the crust and ending at the densest region of the stellar core) are reviewed. Apart from a broad set of baryonic
A unified equation of state of dense matter and neutron star structure
An equation of state (EOS) of neutron star matter, describing both the neutron star crust and the liquid core, is calculated. It is based on the eective nuclear interaction SLy of the Skyrme type,
Determination of the Equation of State of Dense Matter
TLDR
This work analyzed the flow of matter to extract pressures in excess of 1034 pascals, the highest recorded under laboratory-controlled conditions, and ruled out strongly repulsive nuclear equations of state from relativistic mean field theory and weakly repulsive equation of state with phase transitions at densities less than three times that of stable nuclei.
RECENT PROGRESS IN NEUTRON STAR THEORY
▪ Abstract We review recent progress in the theory of neutron stars and compare its predictions with the observational data on masses, radii, and temperatures. The theory of neutron stars made up of
Construction of highly accurate models of rotating neutron stars: Comparison of three different numerical schemes
TLDR
The codes can be used for theruction of highly accurate initial data congurations for polytropes of index N> 0 :5 (which typically correspond to realistic neutron stars), when the domain of integra- tion includes all space and for realistic equations with no phase transitions.
A Microscopic Interpretation of Neutron Star Structure
Neutron star models have been constructed using representative (15) equations of state. The behavior of some of those macroscopic properties which are of observational or evolutionary significance is
Neutron Star Crusts
The formation, structure, composition, and the equation of state of neutron star crusts are described. A scenario of formation of the crust in a newly born neutron star is considered and a model of

The thermal structure of neutron stars with magnetized envelopes is studied using modern physics input. The relation between the internal (Tint) and local surface temperatures is calculated and tted
