A new model description and type classification carried out on its base of a wide variety of practical hysteresis loops are suggested. An analysis of the loop approximating function was carried out; the parameters and characteristics of the model were defined—coersitivity, remanent polarization, value of hysteresis, spontaneous polarization, induced piezocoefficients, value of saturation, hysteresis losses of energy per cycle. It was shown that with piezomanipulators of certain hysteresis loop…

Three phase shifts are included in the model, which permits us to tilt the hysteresis loop smoothly by the required angle at the split point as well as to smoothly change the curvature of the loop.

Modeling forces between the probe of atomic microscope and the scanning surface
The proposed neural network is well capable of modeling the behavior of AFM probes in noncontact mode and is found to be a feed-forward backpropagation network, with Logsig, Tansig and TansIG transfer functions in successive layers, respectively, and 3 and 2 neurons in the first and second hidden layers.

Measurements error propagation and its sensitivity analysis in the aero-engine multistage rotor assembling process.
It is concluded that linear guide alignment error and verticality error are the primary error sources, and the angle error of the turntable need to be improved.
Thermal Hysteresis Involving Reversible Self-Catalytic Reactions.
This Account describes thermal hysteresis caused by molecules dispersed in dilute solutions containing optically active helicene oligomers, which form homo- and heterodouble helices, the cooling and heating processes of which cause different structural changes with regard to their relative concentrations.

Calibration and characterization of piezoelectric elements as used in scanning tunneling microscopy
We investigated the behavior of piezoelectric elements used in an STM for fine positioning of the tip. Special attention was paid to the influence of hysteresis. We found that the expansion
