Microcosmus exasperatus, a simple ascidian was analysed for the presence of water soluble vitamin B; fat soluble vitamins A, D, E and K by High Performance Liquid Chromatography and phenolic compounds, flavonoids by High Performance Thin Layer chromatography. Fat soluble vitamins D3, K and water soluble vitamin riboflavin and thiamine were noticed in high concentration.
