The power factor measurement is widely used in the evaluation of bushing insulation conditions in the field. Some measurement issues occur in the field tests which give abnormal readings of bushing C/sub 1/ and/or C/sub 2/ power factors. This paper provides an engineering analysis of the possible measurement issues in the bushing field tests such as testing a bushing on a transformer or in its shipping crate, or a bushing with wet/contaminated voltage/test tap or wet/dirty porcelain surface.
Optimization of Electric Field in 230kV Power Transformers Bushing
Condenser bushings are one of the key components in power transformers. Although their price is negligible compared to the total price of the transformer their quality has an important effect on
Simulation for Transient Moisture Distribution and Effects on the Electric Field in Stable Condition: 110 kV Oil-Immersed Insulation Paper Bushing
The OIP bushing was assumed to be in a stable and simplicity condition, and then the transient moisture distribution of capacitor core and its effects on the electric field were studied.
A Review on Traditional Methods of Condition Monitoring of Transformer
Comparison of all the traditional condition monitoring techniques alongside with their respective reason, interpretation and limitation is done to help to understand better about the traditional techniques.
Overview and Partial Discharge Analysis of Power Transformers: A Literature Review
The current state-of-the-art methods for PD detection and localization techniques, and methodologies in power transformers are reviewed and evaluated.
A Diagnostic Method for Moisture Intrusion Fault in OIP Bushing
The results show that the proposed method can effectively diagnose the MIP of OIP bushings by the hidden Markov model (HMM) and the shuffled frog-leaping algorithm (SFLA).
Transformer Design and Optimization: A Literature Survey
With the fast-paced changing technologies in the power industry, new references addressing new technologies are coming to the market. Based on this fact, there is an urgent need to keep track of
Prioritizing Energy-Intensive Machining Operations and Gauging the Influence of Electric Parameters: An Industrial Case Study
A hybrid decision-making technique based on TOPSIS and DoM was utilized to determine energy-intensive machining operation and the significance of electric parameters as predictors in power estimation of machining operations was highlighted.
