A sensitive reversed-phase HPLC method for the analysis of olanzapine in human plasma is described. Isolation of olanzapine from plasma was accomplished by solid-phase extraction utilizing an ion-exchange/reversed-phase cartridge designed for basic drug extraction. The drug was subsequently separated by reversed-phase HPLC and monitored by electrochemical detection (ED).
