The directed transfer function (DTF) method, a multichannel parametric method of analysis based on an autoregressive model, is a newly developed tool that permits determination of patterns of flow of activity. The DTF method of analysis was applied to seizures originating from mesial temporal lobe structures in 3 patients recorded by combined subdural grid and depth electrode arrays.
