This study improved the distribution of projected fringes and deducted the phase-height mapping algorithm when the two pupils of the projection and imaging systems are of unequal heights and when the projections and imaging axes are on different planes.

Design of a projection moiré system based on a nonuniform grating projection

Abstract. In the projection moiré method based on equally spaced grating projection, the moiré pattern is often nonlinear and nonuniform because of oblique-angle projection. A new measurement method

Pre-modulated phase-shifting coding absolute phase retrieval method

The experimental results reveal that this method requires only one set of phase-shift modes to realize absolute phase retrieval, which improves the measurement speed and simultaneously maintains an accuracy that is consistent with that of the phase-coding method.

Fringe projection profilometry based on a novel phase shift method.

Comparative experiments show that the fringe projection profilometry based on the novel phase shift method can eliminate cycle error and significantly improve measurement accuracy.

A new model for measuring object shape using non-collimated fringe-pattern projections

Successful measurement of object shape using projected fringe patterns depends on various factors, most importantly in the final stage of relating the measured unwrapped phase distribution to the

Out-of-plane shape determination in generalized fringe projection profilometry.

The proposed technique corrects the problems in existing approaches, and it can cope well with the divergent illumination encountered in the generalized profilometry.

3D shape measurement of the aspheric mirror by advanced phase measuring deflectometry.

Compared with the traditional PMD, this method doesn???t need complex calibration and can measure the absolute height of the aspheric mirror which has large range of surface geometries unambiguously and also has strong anti-noise ability.

Calibration and performance evaluation of a 3-D imaging sensor based on the projection of structured light

From the extensive set or experiments carried out to evaluate the measurement performance, good linearity has been observed, and an overall mean value of the measurement error equal to 40 /spl mu/m, with a variability of about /spl plusmn/35 /splmu/m has been estimated.

Fringe projection profilometry with nonparallel illumination: a least-squares approach.

This Letter describes a nonlinear carrier removal technique based on a least-squares approach that would not magnify phase measurement uncertainty, nor does it require direct estimation of system geometrical parameters.

Comment on "Fringe projection profilometry with nonparallel illumination: a least-squares approach".

Comment on the recent Letter by Chen and Quan in which a least-squares approach was proposed to cope with the nonparallel illumination in fringe projection profilometry, it is suggested that the variation of carrier phase along the vertical direction should be considered.
