Underwater welding has been used widely in construction and maintenance of off-shore facilities. With state-of-the-art equipment and filler materials it is possible to achieve high quality of welded joints, particularly if underwater dry welding is applied. On the other hand, wet underwater welding has a several advantages from the aspects of flexibility and cost efficiency but some serious problem could emerge due weld quality and safety of divers.
