Abstract In this paper, we respectively discuss the lag H ∞ synchronization of coupled reaction-diffusion neural networks with state coupling and spatial diffusion coupling. Based on the inequality techniques and Lyapunov functional method, some lag H ∞ synchronization criteria for these two coupled reaction-diffusion neural networks are obtained by exploiting the designed state feedback controllers.
