The prostamide bimatoprost (Lumigan®, Allergan Inc.) has been proven highly effective as monotherapy, adjunctive, and replacement therapy for lowering intraocular pressure (IOP) and providing good diurnal control of IOP in patients with open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension.
