A 20-year-old woman was studied for episodes of intermittent right upper abdominal pain which she had suffered for a 7-month period. Abdominal ultrasound procedures performed in another hospital revealed two cystic structures in the gallbladder fossa, the most medial of which contained echogenic material that settled with gravity and produced no shadow.
