A young girl with a normal audiogram and an audible clicking ear sound was seen. The sound was recorded, analyzed by oscilloscopic methods and found to be of a ringing pattern with a pulse lasting about 4 milliseconds and having a pulse frequency of one to two per second, averaging about 1.8/sec. The sound was abated by the use of a tranquilizer and the patient has returned to normal.
