Constantine Gatsonis is Henry Ledyard Professor of Biostatistics and Director of the Center for Statistical Sciences at Brown University School of Public Health. He was born in Velanidia Kozanis, a small village in Macedonia, Greece, and came to the US on a scholarship after high school. Constantine studied mathematics at Princeton University, graduating in 1976. He then completed a Ph.D. in Mathematical Statistics at Cornell University in 1981.
