A cognitive automobile is a complex system. It is an indisputable fact that simulations are valuable tools for the development and testing of such complex systems. This paper presents an integrated closed-loop simulation framework which supports the development of a cognitive automobile. The framework aims at simulating complex traffic scenes in inner-city environments.
