Inflammation is associated with the pathogenesis of coronary atherosclerosis, although the mechanisms remain unclear. We investigated whether cytokine secretion by innate immune responses could contribute to the production of proarteriosclerotic Th1-type cytokines in human coronary atherosclerosis.
