PURPOSE The aim of our research was to study some biochemical modifications elicited in primary rat astrocyte cultures by treatment with gabapentin (GBP), carbamazepine (CBZ), lamotrigine (LTG), topiramate (TPM), oxcarbazepine (OXC), tiagabine (TGB), and levetiracetam (LEV), commonly used in the treatment of epilepsy.
